The short version: vanilla in Bristol works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Bristol
A vanilla pod kit from the value options in Bristol costs about £2.35 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Bristol survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised £47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.35 per 10 ml.
