How to tell a good box mod from a repack

Ordering into Bristol usually means waiting 2–4 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

If you are looking at tropical in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.

Below is the run we did for this search: 11 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

What a tropical box mod really costs in Bristol

Ordering into Bristol usually means waiting 2–4 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

How we tested tropical in a box mod

1. Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
2. Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
3. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.

• Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
• The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
• Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
• Spare parts availability for box mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.

Where tropical goes wrong

• Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
• Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
• Treating the advertised £37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.64 per 10 ml.

The rules that apply here

Packaging for tropical in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
