The short version: plum in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum box mod really costs in Bristol
Plum in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Bristol.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Bristol survives.
- Treating the advertised £31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.74 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
