Pear starter kit Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the review shortlist
Pear in Bristol: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
The honest read on pear: 23 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run pear the same way in Bristol: same starter kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear starter kit really costs in Bristol
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.23 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Bristol survives.

Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.

UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does pear in a starter kit last?
