Herbal pen device Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the online shortlist
Herbal in Bristol: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How we tested Herbal pen device here
We run herbal the same way in Bristol: same pen device, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy Nicotine Salt in Bristol. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal pen device really costs in Bristol
Herbal in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested herbal in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

| Refill cost | £3.35 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within £3.35 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
