Blackcurrant squonk mod Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the review shortlist — Bristolzeronic
Blackcurrant in Bristol: 10 units tested over 4 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What blackcurrant costs in Bristol
We run blackcurrant the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A blackcurrant squonk mod from the reviewed options in Bristol costs about £3.28 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long blackcurrant tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested blackcurrant in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why blackcurrant tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How long does blackcurrant in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 4 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is blackcurrant legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
